Paddle Your Worries Away...

Happy day everyone. Today I created a card for the Newtons Nook Design challenge. I seen Amy T. create a card for the challenge and loved the sketch so figured I would play along too. Thanks Amy for inspiring me.

This card was creating using NND: Winton's Lake House stamp set and Sea Borders Die.

I love this little sentiment but I would in more situations say Pray your worries aways. My husband and I actually love being in a boat. So this card was fun to create. I colored the images with Copic sketch markers and used a little foam adhesives to give it some dimension.

You can play along too with the Newton's Nook Challenge #126 HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have an awesome Wednesday!

Peony Blooms...

Well hello everyone.. I am back with you once again today with another card. I was in a crafty mood so I created this Newton's Nook Designs: Peony Blooms cards.

A little Copic coloring for me today and a bit of fussy cutting. The things we love to do... right? I used some misc embossing folder on one of my alcohol ink backgrounds. Are you getting tired of my alcohol ink backgrounds yet? I might need to change it up a bit. LOL

If you read this tonight.. have a great night.
If you read this tomorrow.. Have a great day!

You're Worth It....

Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope you all are enjoying your week so far. It was so hot this weekend, which was so nice and then it cooled right off. The wind was blowing yesterday and there was a chill in the air. But I have to say that I loved it.

While it was cool out I decided to create a card for the Newton's Nook Designs challenge. Red, Teal Green and White. My card is a little wild with color but hope it meets the challenge. LOL I got a little carried away.

I created this card using Newton's Nook Designs: Holding Happiness and Peony Blooms stamp sets.

The background was created using Tonic Studio: NUVO Shimming Powders. I know I used that technique the other day but it is a fun background to create so I did it again. Plus they are so simple to do and messy, which is fun. I could not resist.

The images are colored with Copic Sketch makers and I actually hand trimmed and added to my card using Scotch foam to give them some dimension. Another simple card to create.. I know I say that all the time but it really was easy. I hope you think so too.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have an awesome day!

Christmas Houses....

More Christmas cards YES.... are you making Christmas cards too? Do you pull out some of your older sets or do you just use all newly releases stuff? I have lots of favorites and this die is one of them.

I created this card using Neat & Tangled: Warm Winter Scene Cover Plate, Newton's Nook Designs: Petite Snow Stencil and various pretty MFT designer paper. The sentiment is from Hero Arts: Christmas Word Fancy Die

I stenciled the background first and then die cut the Neat & Tangled: Warm Winter Scene Cover Plate many times and pieced together this little winter wonderland. Seriously love this die. LOL Simple card just lots of die cutting. I think I will make more with all the left overs I had.

Well that is all for today.
Thank you for stopping by.

BOO.... Trick or Treat

Happy Friday everyone. The day we all have been waiting for is here. Time to start planning for the weekend right? I have no idea what my husband and I are doing but whatever it is I am sure it will be fun.

Again, I am in a Halloween mood. I blame it on all the Instagram post. Lots of Halloween going on and well I had to jump on the band wagon too. Today I am getting crafty with Newton's Nook Designs: Halloween Trio stamp and die set, My Favorite Things: Star Celebration stencil and Ranger Oxide Inks: History Smoke, Black Soot and Wilted Violet

These little critters are too fun and they have that cute BOO sign, I mean come on super cute right? I had this last year and never used it so here ya go. I am breaking out all those unused stamps. When I had my business I just did not have the time. But now I do.....

The images are colored with Copic Sketch markers. The background is a stencil with some Copic opaque splatter here and there. I embossed the sentiment on some black card-stock and die cut with Pink & Main new Sentiment Strip Dies (very handy) a must have if you ask me.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday to You...

Happy Friday everyone. Are you ready for the weekend? Is your weather nice and sunny? We have some great weather here in CA and I am sure we can find some time for the beach this weekend... I am hopping.

I just created this card using Newton's Nook Designs: Uplifting Wishes stamp set and Peony Blooms stamp set. I was looking through my stamps looking for some that I have not used yet or not in a while. Sometimes when you see a stamp set you can imagine your card and well that is how this one came together.

I colored these pretty flowers with watercolors. The watercolor set I used is just a cheap set I found at Hobby Lobby for 10 bucks. I really like the colors in this set. Just shows that you don't need to spend a lot to get a pretty result.

I embossed the sentiment on some vellum and adhered with NUVO glue pen. It is the only glue that shows the least on vellum.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
HUGS!

Sprinkles are Better...

Happy Sunday... yes it is Sunday and I am posting. I have not posted on a Sunday in such a long time but this past week I was just in a crafty mood and well I have cards to share. Plus I am trying to use stamp sets that I have not even opened yet and this is one of them.

I created this card using Newton's Nook Designs: Newton's Donut stamp and die set. Now how many time have you eaten a donut on Sunday? I have too many to count. LOL

The background was created using Ranger Ink: Alcohol inks and water. It is the same technique that I talked about yesterday. If your wondering go back a post and check out the youtube video I shared. I told you that I was hooked. haha

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a blessed day.

See you tomorrow right here on my blog.

Smell Like Christmas...

Well I have to say that I miss the smell of snow. It is just clean and crisp but I do not miss having to live in the snow. It is just the beauty of the snow that I miss and love so. Living in California it just does not seem like winter here. It has been cold but do not know if that counts. Not complaining just missing the snow so why not create my own snow on a card right?

I love these sweet images from Neat & Tangled: Stay Cool and Holiday Baking. The background was created using Newton's Nook Designs: Petite Snow and Evergreens stencils. I used Distress Oxide inks and colored with Copic sketch markers.

Pretty simple... don't you think? It did not take long to create at all. How much do you love to create your own backgrounds? I think it is awesome and fun... get's that creative thinking going right?

Well that is all for today.
I know I am posting late but just now getting to my craft room.

Thanks for stopping by.

More You...

Happy Wednesday... I am having a slow start to my day. I did not sleep well last night but am starting to get my act together now. I was wondering if it was going to happen. Do you ever just have those type of nights and then it leads to a tough morning of ok lets go already.

My dog does not have the same problem as me because he just wants to play all day. You know I am a housewife but I am now thinking I am just a playmate for my dog. He is way to spoiled. haha

Well today I did get a card started. I am playing with some of the Ranger alcohol inks. They came out a while ago and now back in demand. Interesting how things fade and come back. I love the affect you get when you use multiple colors. I also used Newton's Nook Designs: Toucan Party stamp set along with MFT Stamps: More Essential Sentiments stamp set and Reverse Confetti: All Framed Up die set. I colored this sweet image with Copic sketch markers. The sentiment is embossed using NUVO Clear Mark and Lawn Fawn: White embossing powder.

Well that is all for today.
I am thinking it is coffee time... heehee

Your support in my small business is greatly appreciated.

Prickly Before My Coffee...

Wednesday already? Funny how each day is just a blink of an eye. Just another reminder to make each day a special one and live it to it's fullest.

I started making this card yesterday but had to let the Glossy Accents and Stickles dry. It was a little humid yesterday so I just let it dry all night. Nothing more do to put to adhere it to my card base. Easy Peasy..

I created this card for the awesome Summer Coffee Lovers Blog hop still going strong. It is so exciting to see all the people who link up. I have tried to comment on everyones blogs but I just can not keep up. I am trying.. If anything I get a quick look and what an inspiration it has been.

I just love these cool Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. If you have stopped by before you will have seen I have used them in my last few cards and I am just getting started. Plus this adorable stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs is a big hit. I have seen it all over the web. We have them in stock and ready to ship. Just click on the picture link below and it will take you directly to it.

Have a fantastic day.
