It is almost the new year.. do you have any plans for New Years? We do not, in a big city it is just safer to stay home. Plus we are not the party type of people... LOL But we will celebrate another wonderful year.
Now that Christmas has passed we are now back to flowers and bright colors.... right? So I am kicking off my day with this Altenew card.
Supplies used: (links are affiliate links)
- Altenew: Wavy Grid Stencil
- Altenew: Perfect Gift Stamp/Stencil and Die
- Pinkfresh Studio: Emerald City, Grassy Knoll, Mulberry Blush, Begonia, Tidal Pond, Cherry and Blossom
Create card from white cardstock A2 size.
Cut a panel measuring 4 x 5 1/4 on white cardstock and stencil the Altenew: Wavy Grid using the Pinkfresh Studio inks Grassy Knoll, Mulberry Blush, Begonia, Tidal Pond, Cherry and Blossom. Adhere the panel using liquid glue to the card base when you are done stenciling.
Stamp the Altenew Perfect Gift flower twice on white cardstock using black ink. Keep the stamp in place so we can double stamp the image after we have added our color.
Using the Altenew Perfect Gift coordinating stencils and Pinkfresh Studio: Emerald City, Grassy Knoll, Mulberry Blush, Begonia, Tidal Pond, Cherry and Blossom inks, add your color. Follow the stencil as it is numbers in the order of placement. Choose colors that you know will be highlighted in each layer. Once you have added the color to both flowers, stamp them again using the black ink. I use a Misti so that made it easy to stamp in the exact place that I did before. This just make the lines brighten up after stenciling the colored ink. Now die cut both of the flowers out using the coordinating Perfect Gift dies.
Add some foam tape to both of the flowers and adhere them to the top and bottom of the stenciled background. Try to center the best you can.
Stamp the sentiments from the Perfect Gift stamp set directly onto your stenciled background using black ink.
To finish I sprinkled a little gold watercolor mixed with water. Make sure to let dry completely so you do not smear the gold.
I love stencils that go with stamps. It really does make for adding color so easy. Plus you can really play with color combos.
That is all for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Love the colors, this is so pretty!
