Happy Friday everyone. I thought I would brighten up my day with this butterflied filled card. It is a little cloudy outside but really nothing that bright inks can't fix... right?
Todays card was created using...
- My Favorite Things: Honey Bees stamp set
- My Favorite Things: Mistletoe Cover Up die
- My Favorite Things: Beautiful Butterflies stamp/dies
Create card from white cardstock A2 size.
Cut a separate piece of white cardstock and blend some inks. Die cut the Mistletoe Cover die on the blended background. I know this says mistletoe but really I just see leaves.
Stamp these fun Beautiful Butterflies using lots of fun colors that you love. When layering stamps make sure to always start with the lighter ink and then go darker for each layer. Now die cut using the coordinating dies.
Stamp out one of the Honey Bees, color with your favorite medium and die cut or fussy cut as I did.
Adhere your background to the card base using liquid glue. Now create your fun butterfly and bee scene using liquid glue and foam tape.
I used a pre stamped sentiment I had die cut already. It is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips. I have a little box of pre-stamped sentiments that I pull from every now and then. Very convenient. Adhere the sentiment to the card using liquid glue and foam tape.
Finishing with a few NUVO Simply Black Crystal Drops.
I thought I was finished but decided to add a few details with the white gel pen.
NOW you are finished....
What a charming card! I love that happy little bee!
