Hello blog friends... I hope you all are having an awesome day today. I am starting August with butterflies. Today I am on the Pink & Main blog HERE and I have created this card using....
- Betty's Butterflies stencil (2)
- Roses stamp set
- Roses dies
- Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush
- Construction cardstock
I started with the first stencil which is the solid part of the butterfly. You will want to use a lighter ink color then when you use the second stencil that pattern will really stand out. But really just think of the possibilities. So many fun color combos you can use.
I added the second stencil and ink but left the stencil on and sprinkled a little bit of Copic Opaque. By leaving the stencil on the Copic opaque will only go where the stenciled area is. Let dry and repeat process.
Finishing up with stamping my sentiment on a piece of Pink & Main new card-stock and die cutting using the coordinating dies. I cut the banner again another color and overlapped them. Leaving a hint of the back color. I added the sentiment flag using foam adhesives to give the card a little dimension.
That is all for today.... see don't you think that is a simple card to create? I love this new Betty's Butterflies stencil.
This is lovely, Annette! I like the interest the speckles add. You should link this up at Just Us Girls. Our challenge is butterflies!
ReplyDeleteGosh, that card is so pretty. Love your color choices.
