Create Crafty Memories Hop...


Happy friday blog friends... today I have been asked to hop with ScrapnStamp.ca to celebrate this fun crafty day with a blog/instagram/youtube blog hop. YAY! We all love a good crafty hop... right? Plus they are having a sale (details below).

It is always a good day when we celebrate crafty goodness. Today I am sharing a card that I created using...

It is always fun creating with rainbows. I started with stamping the Taylored Expressions: Chasing Rainbows Cling background stamp and filled in the color using the clear set included in this set. The inks are from Catherine Pooler's Date Night collection. Nothing like lots of color on one card.... right?

I then stamped this cute Taylored Expressions: Big Grumpy Cat and colored using Copic sketch markers. I die cut using the coordinating die. I brightened the Grumpy Cat with this fun sentiment that is included in the Taylored Expressions: Chasing Rainbows cling/clear combo set. I added a little white gel pen here and there. 

Before adding the Grumpy Cat to my card I die cut a vellum circle and used that behind the image. This really makes the image pop, plus I added it using foam adhesives. Lots of dimension on this card.

    I haven't been using embossing powders
    much lately. I would probably use them to
    give the colors in your rainbows a gloss.

    What a great card! I absolutely love how you coloured the cat. And the colourful rainbows behind him are so much fun. Great to have you joining us for the hop! (Oh, embossing powder. I pretty much use it everywhere, lol!)
