Happy Thursday everyone. I have been in the Fall mood for making cards which means making Halloweens card. They are just so fun to create and well I happen to just love Halloween. The cute stuff not the scary stuff. Just want to be clear on that.
Today I took out an oldie but goodie... My Favorite Things: Witch Way to the Candy stamp set that I paired up with Ranger Oxide inks: Twisted Citron, Black Soot, Spiced Marmalade and Wilted Violet. I also used a TCW stencil Aspen Trees.
I first blended my Oxide inks then added the stencil using Embossing Paste. It is white but as you can see you can still see the color behind it and I love that part. The Embossing Paste I used is from Dreamweaver.
I stamped out all the images and colored using Copic Sketch markers. I did not have the coordinating dies so I had to do a little fussy cutting. I added the images to my card using foam tape so I had a little dimension.
Finishing up with stamping the sentiment on a piece of colored card-stock. I added a strip of black and white strips to the sentiment, then added it to my card.
Tada.... Halloween card finished. It really was easy to create just had to take a couple of steps for the background. But totally simple.
That is all for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have an awesome day!
Super duper CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteI really love everything about this card. The effect you got with the paste is wonderful. I can't believe you didn't have the dies. You are amazing with a scissors. You chose just the right colors too! Please keep showing blogland your 'cute' Halloween cards.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you got my comment for this card but I just wanted to tell you that I really like it. The colors and layout are great. What you did with the embossing paste was something new to me. I'll give it a try. Thanks for being such a craft inspiration for me.
