Joy Christmas...

Well Happy December 2nd. We are on our way to the most wonderful Holiday of the season. I love celebrating the birth of Jesus. The only thing I am missing is the snow. I could live with snow for a couple days of the year but only around Christmas. LOL

Today I am doing some catching up on making Christmas cards. I have to say besides making my design team projects I really have not been that crafty. WEIRD right? But today I am staying focused so I can send out some Christmas cards that are handmade.

I usually make Christmas cards in sets of three. I don't know why three but it works for me and then they are all different. I cant do them all the same just because I am weird that way. More work for me. LOL but I kind of love it.

I first created these fun striped backgrounds using Classy Stripes Stencil from Altenew and Ranger Oxide inks... Abandoned Coral, Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio, Dusty Concord and Salty Ocean. I did not use all these colors on each card I just mixed it up so they are all different.

For the sentiment and images I used My Favorite Things: Filled with Joy die-namics, Polar Penguins stamp set, Reindeer Games stamp set and Tis the Season stamp set. The images are colored with Copic Sketch makers and I die cut on some fun glitter card-stock and finished with stamping the sentiments directly under the image. I used foam adhesives to give the images some dimension and that was it. Totally simple and took no time at all to create.

Well I am back to the grind so I have more to share tomorrow or Friday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Keep smiling!

  1. I am the same, I don't like to recreate the exact same thing but if I keep the same design elements and change up colours it certainly makes creating that much quicker. Your cards are so very very sweet Annette, I always love your use of colour and these bright stripes really make me happy!

  2. I love the colorful striped background. The pop of colors make the card seem more Christmasy for some reason. I also admire how you used the characters as the 'O' in joy....creative. I also dislike making multiple anything and HAVE to change up each card somehow, even if it's just a minor change.
